Hello, I read your concerns about this product with lead breakage. With the cost of less than $0.01 per lead, I thought I would give it a try. As a Design Drafter, I can highly recommend this product. It is a true soft, 2B 0.7mm dark lead with a smooth roll about it. It didn’t break with me, perhaps because I use a Pentel Quicker Clicker automatic mechanical pencil that has a long lead sleeve to protect against lead breakage. Tikpen lead is longer than Pentel lead, giving me more of it. Do to the length, I can only use one lead at a time. The cost comparison: Tikpen is less than $0.01 per lead, whereas pentel is almost $0.05 per lead and shorter. I give Tikpen a five star rating for being the exact lead I was looking for. By the way, the Pentel Quicker Clicker warranty is well worth the price of the pencil, for it is guaranteed for life! Amazon if you are listening, please stock the Tikpen 0.5mm lead, as well. If they don’t make it, perhaps you can persuade them into developing a good quality one like the 0.7mm. Thanks for reading my review, and remember… be careful out there.
