Love the final look of this kennel. However, some design elements leave you not liking it. First of all, it has a lot of pieces. The instructions are not very easy to follow and it takes awhile to build, at least a couple of hours and it’s definitely easier with at least two people.Second, the design under the drawers. There are three narrow boards that get screwed in under the drawers. One at the front, one in the middle, and one in the back this leaves large gaps where the dogs can put their heads up there and open the drawers and definitely cans get to the cord for the plug insert. We put pieces of plywood in the gaps to alleviate this issue.Third, the dog bowls are SUPER small. The picture definitely is misleading!! There are for a Yorkie or smaller dogs for sure!! we didn’t even use them, it takes up space in the inside anyway.Fourth, the gates st first are hard to latch. It gets easier as we use them more. The front gates would latch wiser if the bottom board where the gates latch on the bottom was actually attached to something in the middle. As it is, it kind of moves back and forth. It’s hard to explain but it’s only attached on either side of the kennel. It should have had a bar that ran front to back to help stabilize it.I would have returne sit probably but I really didn’t want to take it apart after how long it took to build it, and I do like the final product and really like how the doors have a grate more than bars like most. Also, the back is solid and not bars, this detours dogs from messing up the wall behind it. However, the back is mainly just a thin board that slides between some beams.Our dog seems to like it though. She asks to Kay innit and loves laying in it with the doors open when we are home when she needs/wants to be left alone.
