I purchased this product in hopes it would help to get my rescue dog to respond to commands to stop barking and not continue to approach people especially men acting very defensive. I had my reservations that she would respond to the sound but to my surprise she does acknowledge it when I press the button. It does vibrate when you use it but that’s only to let you know it’s working. After not using it for a bit it will turn itself off, so the vibration is helpful so you know that you need to turn it off and back on to unlock it. We’ve had this about 3 weeks now and it’s encouraging to see she will stop and listen to the commands. It may take 2-3 times when someone is here but compared to completely ignoring us before I’m impressed. Like I said she is a rescue who apparently was abused by a man so we didn’t want to use punishment as a correction and make matters worse. We were at our wits end trying to figure out what to do to stop this behavior. Because she is an amazing smart and loving dog. Although we have a ways to go before I can say it’s a total success, we are definitely on the right path to correct a behavior as a result of her past. Looking forward to continuing with this unique product and hoping it’ll be a game changer for her future.It’s very easy to use and is rechargeable. I’ve only charged it when I got it so a change lasts a good amount of time. The price is well worth it since it does as it says. You can hang it from your neck or put it in your pocket. It has the sound only or the sound with a flash of light. I mainly use only the sound feature. I’d definitely recommend this to anyone who needs assistance with barking or defensive behavior. I realize it may not work on every dog but fortunately it’s helping with our situation.I will try to update later to show how the training is working.Update 02/10/2025I’m happy to say that the training is going very well. She is responding so quickly and understanding the situation to be calm and not continuing to bark and approach people in an inappropriate way. We are still working with her with the hopes that we won’t even need to use the device. If she sees that I’m going to use it she’ll stop the unwanted behavior. So we’re progressing and I feel very confident that this will help her and us to stop the bad behaviors. I know longer regret when friends stop by to visit or delivery people if we’re outside at the time. I hope others have a positive experience as well.
